Basil Oil Pesto

I love pesto pasta, but i'll be honest I rarely have all of the ingredients. Herbs just don't last, or live at my house (no matter how much I try to grow my own) so this recipe works great for me.


6 cups Washed spinach leaves

½ cup of pine nuts or walnuts

1cloves of garlic

¼ cup Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 tsp Salt

1pinch of black pepper

1 drop Basil Essential Oil

2 drops Lemon Essential Oil



  1. Combine all ingredients in a Thermomix or food processor.
  2. Mix until combined. Scrape sides & repeat if needed
  3. Store in air tight glass jar.
